Description
This test examines the inside of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum using a thin, flexible tube equipped with a video camera. The examination usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes, although you should expect to be in hospital for about an hour.
Preparing for the test
- Do not eat or drink anything for six hours before the examination.
- You may take your usual medication with a small amount of water.
